Prajna Yoga Classes

About Prajna Yoga

We are “Dharma Warriors” or those who stand for the true path of Yoga. We introduce our students to the authentic teachings of Yoga by providing them with an understanding and overview of a practice that promotes balance and connectedness with the highest state of the being. Our goal is to assist students with obtaining and maintaining this balance and awareness in their daily lives. Our style of teaching is Prajna/Vajra. In Prajna Yoga, we incorporate the four paths of Yoga: Raja Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Jnana Yoga, and Karma Yoga.

We believe that each being is capable of holding the highest vibration of love and light and we encourage our students to function from this true and natural state at every moment. Our teaching method is based on Advaita Vedanta ~the practice that leads us to liberation through the acquisition of vidya(knowledge) of the identity of Atman and Brahman. It emphasizes Jivanmukta, the idea that moksha (freedom, liberation) is achievable in this life. Through Yoga sutra education, pranayama, asana and meditation, our students will learn what Yoga truly means.

Located at 22950 W. State Route 51 Genoa, OH, we offer a unique Yoga experience in a serene and zen environment~ located on 30 wooded acres at our Temple grounds. We hold a variety of classes (including children’s classes). Because we uphold an Ashram approach to Yoga education, space is limited to 15 students per class. Please sign up online in advance to secure your spot and to ensure that class is being held. You can sign up under the class schedule link on the homepage. Beginners are always welcome and we modify each class according to those present.

Things to know

We do cancel class if we do not have any online registrations 2 hours before the class. We will hold class for only one student as long as they have paid prior to class. We ask that all students arrive 5- 10 minutes prior to class, as we begin promptly at the scheduled start time. We ask that students do not come into class if we have already started, as meditation is part of our Yoga experience and we ask that it doesn’t get disrupted. There is an area to store shoes and coats upon entering. Please come in and remove your shoes, set up your mat, and feel free to meditate until class begins. Please leave cell phones in car or turn off completely. We are always available to answer any questions prior to class. Don’t be shy! And finally…. YES YOGA IS FOR EVERYONE! 🙂
